Our Story

Viane Designs and Styling draws its inspiration from the movie 'Chocolat', embodying the main character's zest for life and boldness to live outside the norm. Hayley Carpenter is the owner and interior designer at Viane Designs, with a deep appreciation for unique spaces and functional home design. Combining modern elements with antiques, Hayley creates spaces that are truly one-of-a-kind. Growing up on Salt Spring Island, she enjoyed a life filled with adventure and travel, which inspired her eclectic influences. In 2018, Hayley studied at Pacific Design Academy, and in 2019, she trained with Maria Killam and became a certified true colour expert. Following this, she worked as a junior designer and project management assistant in Sidney, BC. In 2021, Viane Designs & Styling was born out of Hayley's passion for helping clients make their home their happy place. Hayley strives to create homes that reflect her clients and their families, making their homes a reflection of their unique personalities.
